RE: West Yellowstone

We stayed at Lions Head, last year it is about 7 miles out of West Yellowstone. It was a passport America park at that time so the price was right. Not as fancy as Grizzly but I liked the place. We stayed 3 nites at Grizzly then went to Lions Head for a week.I do not know if they will be open this time of year. They are listed in TL
Enjoy Yellowstone, hope you are able to spend enough time there to see the whole park,it is a really great place.

RE: Slides Dragging On The Carpet

We had the problem with the slides leaving marks on the carpet.I went to Staples, any office suply will do,and bought a Carpet protecter(made to use under an office chair). It's made of heavy duty plastic with "spikes" to hold it in place. We cut it in strips about 10" wide for the slides to ride on.No more marks on the carpet, and only cost about $20 total. It seems to me that the Lippert things were a lot more $

RE: Water Pressure Regulator

Is there a screen in it,to filter out large pieces of "whatever" ? That would easily cause it to plug up,and leave you with no water.

RE: How to block Parasites (popups Adds etc.)

I don't think that GOOGLE has to worry about any pop ups being blocked, and losing revenue.

RE: costly mistake. 5 wheelers please read.

We do a test pull every time we move the 5vr. DW and I work as a team, this is one of the things she will not let me forget "no test pull,no move"
Sorry to hear about your mishap

RE: Discover America dream

NuWa is one of the top 5th wheel brands.
We are more than happy with our '04 33 1/2 CKQG.We have been full time for 2 years with about 30,000 tow miles.
AS Mallo pointed out,be aware of the weights and what TV you will need, there is a ton of information on the NuWa forum and the NuWa company website.
Good Luck to you in finding that new home and with full timing !

RE: Removing Wallpaper Border Glue-HELP

I would say that there are a few folks on this forum that should make sure they get at least one cup of coffee dowm prior to answering any poster that is asking for advice. So,if there are double, triple, post,or more, is it such a big deal?

I'm smarter than DW thinks I am.
I'm not as smart as I thought I was.

RE: Good Sam's Emergency Road Service -- Non-service

I have used GS ERS 3 times in the past 2 years. Each time we had to wait about an hour,no big deal. The last time we needed them was because of a bad water pump on the TV,they sent out a flat bed truck for the TV and a "big rig" tractor to pull the fiver into the next town.We were more than happy with the service.Being fulltimers we are never far from "home",but it is good to know that there is a contact to get a hold of someone when we are out on the road in an area that we are unfamiliar with.

RE: Learning Everything the Hard Way

I might think about finding some other form of recreation. But then again,if all of us that have those kind of days, quit RVing, there would be very few RVers left. And those who say they have never had any of "those" days....well you may not be able to trust them about any thing else.
Thanks for the chuckles

RE: NUWAY HITCHHIKER

Did Nuway go bankrupt or am I having a brain pause? If so, the CEO does not know about it.He keeps the NuWa owners pretty well informed on the owners website.

RE: Serious Question

I was told that if the side buttons on bibs were buttoned,it was considered "formal wear" Unbuttoned would be "casual wear" Would this be correct ? How about when worn with just one strap hooked ? Just wondering...

RE: i bought two

#2...I connect the grounds by using 2 AC male plugs with only the ground prongs connected together (no connection between the other two)The ground lug is connected inside to the AC receptical ground.Using the receptical is electricly the same as connecting the ground lugs together.
Would not be without the twins Handy and Dandy !

RE: Alkaline 1.5 volt - Metal Hydride 1.25 volt..... why?

Could it be for the same reason that candy bars are smaller and the price is higher? You get less and they call it "new and Improved" Sorry. Just could not resist !

RE: Garmin 350 Update

Ed,
I have a nuvi 350. When I have a route set and I enter another destination, it asks if this is a "via" route or not. If I say yes, it directs me to the 2nd destination, then to the original one. If I say no, it deletes the original destination.
Does yours do this?
Mine does the same thing. She thinks that your 2nd destination is where you now want to go. there can only be one destination at a time
with 1 way point (or "via")
What i am hoping is that when Garmin says "fully routable",they mean
that I can enter more than just the one via point.
Does any one know if that is correct? If not, I won't be buying the 2009 maps

RE: Vehicle insurance and homebase (mailbox) in SD

My Dakota Address has worked for us,we have been fulltime, and on the move for 2 years now. Terri is really great to work with.
They use the term "garaged" for lack of a better term. Don't worry about it.Your "home" will be SD #--- will be your street address
We even went to our home town once,to meet the neighbors, nice folks !
You probably know that you will have to go to SD to get your drivirs license.

RE: skylight in the shower

We bought some foam seat cushions from WalMart, cut some bubble foil to fit, stuck them the in the openings (from the inside),works very well.We use them also when the trailer is sitting in the sun, they help to keep the air conditioner from working so hard. We also put the bubble foil in the windows that are on the sun side.
